C.A.G.J.H.S. Media Center
Maker Space in the CAG Media Center -- 2.8.18

Select eighth grade students from physical science classes were rewarded for great performance on their recent assessment over mechanical waves with maker challenges. Mrs. Melanie Turner, C.A. Gray's Media Specialist, designed the activities to foster teamwork, problem solving, and creative thinking. Students worked in groups to create the tallest cup stacks and marshmallow towers.

Did you know?

You don't have to make a special trip to the public library or count on your little ones remembering to bring home a book from their own school to read. Any staff member is welcome to check out up to FIVE children's books at a time. Come by and check them out! Also, we have a large cart of discard books right now. You may take as many as you wish. For keeps! :O)

Did you know... (#1)

The media center has a special shelf in the closet for staff? It's a leave one/take one kind of thing. See anything you like? Take it and leave any book in its place. Or bring one later!
Did you know... (#2)

We also have a large section of picture books (which are now all in one place). Want to check out some books for your little ones to read? Feel free!! Reading to and with children is the number one indicator of school success!
Visual Arts students create "Book Art!" -- 10.10.17

The visual arts students enrolled in the drawing and painting course at C.A. Gray recently completed a folded book project. The students used discarded books to create a work of art inside and out. Each student designed and painted the front and back cover of the books. They then folded the pages inside to create a shape or letter. What a creative way to breathe new life into something old!
