Cold and Flu SeasonEveryone,
Just a few tips to stay well!

1) Keep sani wipes in your classroom and wipe your desks frequently.
(please make sure to use the ones with No Bleach)
2) Teach the students hygiene. Explain to them the importance of not coughing or sneezing in their hands. (That's how germs are spread.) If they do, make sure and wash them ASAP.
3) Disinfect "hot spots:" computer keyboards and mouse, desktops, doorknobs, pens and pencils.
4) Encourage students to eat, drink and get plenty of rest.

If anyone has any other ideas, please share with all staff.
Thank You.

Immunizations
1) On admission to the school, parents are told they must have an updated immunization form due 30 days from the 1st date the student started.
2) Immunizations are FREE at the Health Department if the student has no insurance or no way to pay.
3) The only students that are excluded are those that have a "Religious" objection (with the corrrect documentation) or a "Medical" objection (with the correct documentation).

Please note these are Georgia State Laws not Colquitt County laws.

Live CDC Handwashing Presentation - Friday, 10.14.16
October 15, 2016 is Global Hand Washing Day!

As we all know washing our hands with soap and water is very effective in preventing the spread of germs and diseases.Studies have shown that the mortality rate can be reduced by 50% in regard to upper respiratory and diarrhea type illnesses just by washing the hands with soap and water.

Kay Powell, PTO President shared a link for a Live Presentation by CDC on Hand Washing in honor of Global Hand Washing Day. Susie Strange, Media Specialist at R.B.W. has placed the link to this on RB Wright's Website for all of us to view. I really think our students (as well as staff) will love this and gain valuable knowledge.

Please plan to tune in on Friday, October 14, 2016 at 10:30 am to view this potentially life saving presentation.

Susie did mention this is LIVE, so you must tune in at the appropriate time to be able to watch it.

Hope all of you "reap" great health benefits from this as we all try to "ward off' those cold, flu, and stomach viruses.
