LADIES Club Guest Speaker, Felicia Harris -- 1.26.18

Felicia Harris, a 2010 Colquitt County High School graduate, stopped by CA Gray Junior High School to speak to the L.A.D.I.E.S Club about perseverance, reaching for the stars and never giving up! Felicia expounded on the fact that, while growing up, they didn't have much money and her younger brother became very sick, so the family had to pulled together to take care of him. She wasn't sure how she was going to pay for college, but while in high school, her former counselor, Ms. Cathy Nobles and teacher, Ms. Marietta Carr, encouraged her to search for scholarships to pay for her education. In doing so, Felicia received over $12,000 in scholarships for college and paid for the rest in student loans and by working. She is a 2014 graduate of Georgia Southwestern State University where she received her Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing. She is currently employed as a registered nurse at the Colquitt Regional Medical Center as well as the Tift Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Cathy Nobles, Counselor and advisor of the L.A.D.I.E.S Club at CA Gray, along with Ms. Tashara Jackson, says that she knew Felicia Harris would be the perfect former student to come and speak to their club because she's always possessed strong will-power, a heart of giving, determination to succeed and excellence in everything that she has done and is still possessing those same qualities today!
